AJ Miera (2024, Roanoke, Texas) was excellent in the start he turned in early on Day 3 as he went the distance and only allowed a single run while striking out seven. While it was definitely a success outing, it was the stuff that really stood out. He worked mostly in the 85-88 range with the fastball early, posting multiple 88s, and he creates excellent life on the pitch from a pretty fast arm. While he’ll get to both halves of the plate with it, there’s real feel to spin that stood out throughout as he’ll land a sharp downer breaking ball for both tough takes and some swing-and-miss. The overall athleticism and arm speed will bode more velocity long-term and he'll be one monitored to see if the stuff continues to tick up.
