2022 Top Prospects

Kerry Herndon-Brown  1B - 2022 - Germantown, MD
Miami-Dade College

Herndon-Brown put up some eye opening numbers throughout the weekend, leading the event in several categories. The arm strength is evident as he threw 96 mph from the outfield, 90 from first base and 89 mph on the mound with a sound changeup. He also ran a 6.62 and showed some juice in a lower effort swing during his round of BP, making for an impressive showing in all facets of the game.

AJ Colarusso  LHP - 2022 - Leominster, MA
Boston College

Colarusso was dominant in his outing, striking out 12 of the 13, while maintaining his velocity throughout, topping out at 88 mph. He showed the ability to spot up to either side of the plate and mixed both a curveball and changeup with comfort, getting plenty of swing and miss throughout.

Bradley Gagen  LHP - 2022 - Ashburn, VA
Tennessee

Gagen was impressive throughout his three innings of work on the mound, as the University of Tennessee commit ran his fastball up to 91 mph early on before settling in the mid-to-upper 80s for the duration of his outing. The long, lean lefty worked both sides of the plate effectively with his fastball, while flashing a replicated changeup that possessed good fading action and power depth to it. He mixed in a 2-8 shaped slider that showed lite biting action at it's best, as he generated some awkward swings-and-misses.

Josiah Harrison  OF - 2022 - Chesterfield, VA
Longwood

Harrison, currently uncommitted, offers big tools across the board as evidenced by his 6.88 60-yard dash, 95 mph throws from the outfield, and low effort 88 mph fastball on the mound. Listed 6-1/175, Harrison also shows intriguing tools at the plate with some quickness to hands and carry to the middle of the field.

Matthew Martinez  C - 2022 - Kutztown, PA
High Point

Martinez showed off a short/compact stroke with plenty of strength in his hands throughout his round of batting prospect. He took his performance to the next level with a no-doubt blast in live action that was gone as soon as it left the bat. Martinez also popped a 2.00 and threw 80 mph from behind the dish.

Hayden Miller  SS - 2022 - Sandy Hook, CT
College of Charleston

Miller has plenty of tools to monitor that'll play at the next level, from the defense to the bat. He posted a 6.69 in the 60-yard and showed big time arm strength across the diamond (91 mph) while making an impressive play in game action too. His hands are both quick and strong as he creates separation in his swing and put together one of the loudest rounds in the event.

Jonathan Marte  RHP - 2022 - Elizabeth, NJ
Uncommitted

Marte is a strong 6-4/240 right-hander who filled up the strike zone, working efficiently throughout his time on the bump. He featured a heavy fastball up to 85 mph that got on hitters quickly and mixed in a 12-6 shaped breaker with short depth up to 66 mph.

Carson Wehner  RHP - 2022 - Chesterfield, NJ
Elon

Wehner put together a nice opening day of the event, showing actions on both sides of the ball. He threw 85 mph across the diamond, showing a quick arm and solid glove skills out front. Offensively he stays short to the ball and shows nice jump off of the barrel as evidenced by his 88 mph exit velocity.

2023 Top Prospects

Max McGlone  C - 2023 - Doylestown, PA
Army

McGlone's arm strength from behind the dish is a weapon, throwing 80 mph during drills while making a couple solid throws in live action as well. He popped an event best 1.86 and showed present bat speed with his right-handed stroke, picking up some hits in live action with power potential.

Daniel Ciprian  SS - 2023 - Linden, NJ
St. John's

Ciprian is a long and projectable 6-1/160 right-hander who varied his tempo throughout his delivery and time on the mound, working his fastball up to 84 mph from an over-the-top slot. He rarely went away from the fastball, but also showed smooth actions up the middle during drills with nice body control and a strong arm across the diamond.

Matt Archibald  RHP - 2023 - Churchville, MD
Navy

Archibald worked with a smooth and simple operation on the bump, showing a quick arm that helped the uncommitted arm live in the mid-80s, peaking at 86 mph. The breaking ball proved to be a difference maker with 12-6 shape and depth, a pitch he was able to consistently land for strikes.

Tim Schuler  1B - 2023 - Yardley, PA
Villanova

Schuler is a strongly built 6-3/210 first baseman who knows how to fully utilize his strength. He topped out with a 99 mph exit velocity (an event best) while his 89 mph throw from first base checked in as the second hardest throw. Staying compact to the ball, Schuler swings with plenty of intent and generates big jump off of the barrel when squared.

Zackary Sperger  SS - 2023 - Ithaca, NY
Massachusetts at Lowell

Sperger showed off an intriguing set of skills, as the uncommitted 2023 grad ran a 7.09 sixty, showed fluid actions in the middle infield and offensive prowess that translated well in-game. He stays extremely calm and fundamentally sound with all of his movements at the plate, while using a short, quick swing to impact the ball to middle and pull side. Plenty of projection remaining within his 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame as he continues to physically mature.

Jamel Vera Jr.  OF - 2023 - Miami Lakes, FL
Florida International

Vera Jr. showed off tools around the diamond this weekend, first running a 6.85 in the 60-yard. He threw 88 mph from the outfield, his primary position, and utilized a simple weight shift moving into contact to generate nice life and carry off the barrel to the middle and pull side parts of the field.

2024 Top Prospects

Calder Glassman  RHP - 2024 - New York, NY
Notre Dame

Glassman looks the part on the mound and projects well with a 6-2/195 long limbed frame. His arm action is loose and whippy as he ran the fastball up to 87 mph early on, showing both run and cut action to it while pumping the zone and mixing in a short breaker up to 71 mph.

David Rodriguez  RHP - 2024 - Trevose, PA
St. John's

Rodriguez was impressive during his 3 innings on the mound, living in the mid-80s with his fastball throughout, topping out at 87 mph. He creates angle on the fastball and was able to miss bats while showing a curveball with tight spin up to 74 mph.

Ariel Castro Jr  SS - 2024 - Kissimmee, FL
Uncommitted

Castro showed off smooth defensive actions in the dirt, moving well on his feet with glove skills and some arm strength across the diamond. He's a switch-hitter and handled the barrel well from both sides of the plate during his round of BP, showing a loose and fluid stroke with some natural lift in his path.
