Dylan Koontz (2021 3B, Huntersville, NC) took by far the most impressive batting practice of the day. The lefty hammered baseballs off the scoreboard in rightcenter & into the woods in rightfield. The bat speed is elite and he knows how to generate leverage. By far the loudest wood during workouts.
Kros Sivley (2021 LHP, Sumrall, MS) showed some juice in the bat today as he hammered baseballs gap to gap. He generated some backspin on the baseball with a slightly uphill swing. He also proved he can drive it on a line the other way when needed.
Austin Cole (2021 OF, Canton, GA) utilized a spread out stance with high hands as he threw hands at the baseball. He found barrels consistently and when he go extended, he proved to have some pull side power. He did a great job of creating some barrel lag that helped him generate big bat speed.
Jack Baldridge (2021 OF, Alexandria, VA) barreled up every single baseball in his round proving to have a strong hit tool. He generated some leverage and had big time pop gap to gap as hammered baseballs deep into them. Baldridge did a good job of keeping his hands inside and behind the baseball punished balls during his round.
Nicolaus Litke (2021 OF, Tallahassee, FL) took some big hacks during his round as he fired the lower half creating some bat speed. He was a bit inconsistent finding barrels with every swing, but when he did, he showed big time gap into the gaps.
Charlie Condon (2021 1B, Marietta, GA) utilized a physical build as he generated some serious bat speed. He flashed big time pop to the middle part of the field as he drove high fly balls to deep center.
Scott Mudler (2021 C, Johns Creek, GA) flashed a long, lean frame and put it to use as he took a loud round of BP. He did a nice job of staying inside the baseball as he drove it on a line gap to gap. He also proved to have some pop to the pull side when he got the bat head out front and got extended.
Jackson Jefferson (2022 OF, Locust Grove, GA) starting from a wide stance as he creates some separation with the hands. Hit some long, high fly balls during his round while taking aggressive hacks. A bit inconsistent at times but when he got ahold of it, he created some very loud contact.
Sean Smith (2021 1B, Piedmont, AL) utilized a big, physical build as he took some hard hacks. He creates some separation with the hands and generates some leverage as well. He drove baseballs deep to dead center as he added backspin to the baseball. All in all, Smith did a solid job of squaring up baseballs during his round.
Steven Michael Medina (2021 SS, Miami, FL) took one of the most impressive round of BP from the event. The switch hitter started on the right-side and hammered baseballs to the pull-side, including one he drove off the wall. From the left-side, he had a similar stance while he threw hands at the baseball. Big time pop in the bat from both sides.
Michael Smith (2023 OF, Pensacola, FL) started a bit slow and then worked into a groove as he ended his round with some loud barrels. He kept his hands high, combined some bat wrap, and went on to generate some bat speed as he sprayed it around.
Hudson Mimbs (2021 SS, Macon, GA) showed some strength in the hands as he generated some bat speed during his round. He had a solid pull-side approach as he drove it with ease into the gap and down the line. He also ended his round with an opposite field shot further proving his abilities in the box.
Miller St. John (2021 SS, Marvin, NC) flashed one of the more simpler swings in workouts as he peppered baseballs around the field. He found barrels in every cut he took as he utilized a picture perfect swing.
Nicholas Noto (2022 SS, Huntersville, NC) utilized strong hands as he showed a slightly uphill swing. Drove the baseball back up the middle early in his round and then started to pull the baseball for juice deep off the leftfield wall.
Sammy Leis (2022 C, Cumming, GA) flashed a long, lean frame as he attacked baseballs out front. He consistently found barrels as he drove them back up the middle and gap to gap with ease.
Ephraim Bravo (2021 OF, Hialeah, FL) utilized a simple, linear cut as he squared up baseballs throughout his round. He proved to have some juice in the bat as he ended his round with some impressive pull side drive. He also showed he could back spin the baseball deep into the gap.
Joseph Slattery (2021 SS, Charlotte, NC) took an aggressive approach during his round as he hammered baseballs. He took a short bat path to the baseball and squared it up with ease. He also proved to have some power as he drove on off the top of the fence.
