Veen is a very projectable 6-foot-4, 190-pound athlete with a potential plus speed/power combination and a sweet lefthanded swing. His long and loose build and swing brings to mind big league superstars such as Christian Yelich and Cody Bellinger at the same age, although Veen arguably has more raw power and strength at the same age as those two lefthanded hitters. Veen also has excellent speed, as he stole 32 bases and scored 36 runs while hitting .410 for Spruce Creek High School this spring.
