Sim is the son of Chongsoo “Hercules” Shim, a legendary home run hitter in the Korean Baseball League and his son has many of the same baseball tools. Sim has very strong and loose hips that drive a powerful righthanded swing and easy power to all fields. He’s a pure third baseman on defense with good side-to-side agility and plenty of raw arm strength. Sim is also one of two local San Diego standouts in the game along with fellow West infielder Jordan Thompson.
