2003 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Mott is an "04" 1B/LHP with lots of projection. At 6'5/185 he's very slim with tons of room for added strength. He's a good athlete who runs well. He shows bat speed and some present day power. Could end up being a big time LH power guy as he gains weight. On the mound he threw around 80 with lots of tailing action. He showed good spin on the breaking ball, but got under and around a few. Hard telling how good Mott might be someday. It will be interesting to see him again in a few years. David is a very good student with a 1365 SAT.
