James Fordham is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Chester, GA who attends Bleckley County. A compact frame. Right-handed pitcher with a pretty quick arm who threw from an over-the-top arm slot. Comes out pretty good and was able to attack hitters. he was longer through the back with a big leg lift over the belt. His fastball was 82-86 mph and worked up to 88 mph while spinning 2,267 RPMs. The pitch had some ride to it. He got whiffs at the top of the zone and was able to attack up. Paired the fastball with a breaking ball that was firm with tight spin up to 2,377 RPMs. Showed a change-up late in the outing with some good sink on it. The change-up was up to 77 mph. Punched out 5 opposing hitters over 2 2/3 innings of work. Good student. Georgia Southwestern State commit.
