Carter Speights is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Tustin, CA who attends Beckman. Primary outfielder with a lean, projectable frame. Sound actions with quick feet. Present arm strength with quality carry and accuracy. Arm strength showed well in his round and pulls it down well. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a long three-quarter slot and powerful arm. Fastball topped 89 mph with life out of the hand and quality command. Good chance to reach the low-90s with improvement. Slider has tight spin with sharp break, shows well when out front. Changeup has firm shape and subtle fade for a quality out pitch. Right-handed hitter, even base with quick hands and present bat speed. Direct path allows him to use the entire field. Good intent in the hands for added strength. Good student. Named to 2022 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.
