Max Garrett is a 2020 OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Mansfield. Large frame with an athletic and strong build. Square shoulders and long limbs. Ran a 6.80 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Athletic strides on the close working through the ball well and maintaining online direction to the target. Fields to the side with funnel up. Short arm action in the back into throws showing carry at times. Stays accurate to the bag topping out at 78 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a wide stance to start and leg lift trigger for timing. Generates some bat speed through a level, slightly inside bat path to contact. Works the middle of the field looking to create lift off the barrel when squared up. Good student as well.
