Jackson Low is a 2023 OF/RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends Foster HS. Jackson is an emerging, athletic player who shows noticeable, advancing and commendable skill at numerous positions. In addition of his noteworthy ability on the diamond, that is certain to get even better, Jackson is a sound scholar academically. e ran a 7.57 60 yard dash which is in the average range for his age group. A primary outfielder, Jackson presents as a long and lean athlete who shows a plus feel for the position. He positions quickly and rather routinely and plays through the fielding action with some aggressiveness. He transitions well and his 80 mph throws show sound carry and accuracy. On the infield, Jackson again shows a plus arm as evidenced by his 81 mph throws that have sound plane and carry and are consistently accurate. His hands work and his sure and deliberate transition allow for his plus arm to play even better. Over at 1B, Jackson excels because of the same fundamental ability he showed in the OF and on the IF. His glove actually appears to play a little better at first base. He reads the ball well off the bat. his footwork is crisp and quick and his hands are soft and certain. He transitions well and his 77 mph throws are highly accurate. Jackson's true projectability may actually lie on the mound where is especially impressive. He is mechanically sound and uses his long levers to his advantage. His big leg lift and his ability to stay tall on the backside help with him pitch down the slope with momentum. His operation is clean and smooth. He repeats his H 3/4 release routinely. he pitches off his active 83-86 mph fastball that showed heavy sinking life down and exploding riding life up. His arm quickness is especially impressive when he throws his heater. His 74 mph hybrid breaking ball is slurvy at times and shows plus, 12/6 true curveball, break at times. The velo is always consistent, so it is obvious that he is purposely changing the tilt on his primary secondary pitch. This is a mature action usually reserved for pitchers much his senior. His 78 mph change-up, which he could probably throw more is a solid third pitch. he throws it with fastball arm quickness and it tunnels from the same arm slot as his other two pitches. At the plate, Jackson also shows an solid ability to use his pronounced leverage to his advantage. He incorporates his lower half quite well into his swing operation and his bat stays on plane and through contact. He shows a sound ability to hit line drives up the middle and to the pull side regularly. He can strike the baseball. Jackson shows sound ability at multiple positions, but in reality, his strong arm may play best on the mound.
