Chris Marshall is a 6'2" 215 pound strong mature 2006 infielder and right handed pitcher from Oakland, California who attends Bishop O'Dowd High School. He has a thick body that is very strong in the lower half. He is able to stay inside the ball very well and uses all fields. He has presetn raw strength to drive the ball to both gaps. Chris shows good footwork and mobility on defense with sure hands and the kind of first step quickness you like to see play in the infield. At the plate, he has a flat bat with hands held high and an average balanced base with bent knees. Marshall has good raw strength and the ability to center the ball and use the whole field. He ran a 7.57 60 and threw as high as 75 mph from the infield. On the mound, he topped out at 79 mph with a 69 mph breaking ball. He has good arm speed with some quick late effort to his delivery. Chris shows some deception with a little herky jerky compact delivery. He is a good two way kid that shows strength and ability to play the game with some intangibles.
