Austin Miller is a 2020 2B/SS with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Crestwood, KY who attends South Oldham. Athletic, compact frame and lean build. Projects for additional strength. Primary second baseman with quick feet and developing footwork. Showed good two handed funneling action out front along with a clean backhand. Worked through transition with deliberate exchanges. Utilizes a three-quarter arm slot with a high energy release creating some carry to the bag, topping at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a narrow base and slightly open stance. Employs a small leg lift trigger. Started with a high back elbow while keeping hands inside the ball well. Flashed good balance and extension through the hitting zone with a line drive to the opposite field approach while also displaying some opposite field power.
