Jackson Brayan Chourio is a 2022 OF with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Maracaibo, Venezuela. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a higher waist, long limbs with plenty of room to fill throughout with physical strength at maturity. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes long and easy strides moving towards the ball, good routes and covers ample ground, showed it in game with athleticism, fields the ball out front and works behind it well funnels into a loose, whippy arm action; shows present footwork through the ball, comes out of hand cleanly and arm strength will continue to develop moving forward. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; low effort and simple swing mechanics. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate, does a nice job of hitting the ball out front with extension, shows a full path through the zone and a patient approach in the box. Creates back spin coming off the barrel, works with a mostly linear plane, has jump off the barrel when squared to the pull side. Nice tools to monitor and project. Eligible to sign July 2nd of 2020. Named to 14U Florida Top Prospect List.
