Carson Cobb is a 2021 3B/RHP/C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Bowling Green, KY who attends Ensworth HS. Medium and athletic frame with lower half strength and time to continue to fill out physically. Primary third baseman, took reps in the infield fielding the baseball out in front in a high gathering position, sure hands funneling the baseball cleanly into body, shuffles into his release, loose arm into throws with the ability to throw on the run, average arm strength topping out at 79 mph from the infield. Secondary righthanded pitcher, takes a small side rocker step up to a belt high leg lift to begin his delivery, stays online to the plate throughout, long arm action through the back up to a high 3/4 arm slot, uses lower half with slight hip turn at the top, fastball flashes armside life topping out at 79 mph, mixed in a changeup with similar action as fastball and maintained arm speed. Also took reps in the outfield, stays back on the baseball, quick release with a good hop into throws, will improve carry on throws with additional momentum working through the baseball. Righthanded hitter, sets up in an upright stance, loads early into swing, upper half dominant swing with mechanical actions, worked the baseball to all fields with developing bat speed, will improve pop off of the barrel with improve hand quickness to the baseball.
