2006 California Underclass
Jeremy Miller is a 2006 OF/IF from Todd Beamer HS, residing in Federal Way, WA, with a 5'11" 175 lb. frame. Miller has a strong and compact build. Shows strength with the bat and he was pretty short to the ball. Miller showed some power with a booming HR to left in one of the games. There is some leverage in his swing and he gets the barrel to the ball pretty well. Miller stays behind the ball well and his power should continue to develop as he becomes a better hitter. Right now his bat is certainly usable in the college game. Defensively he showed a long arm with decent carry and accuracy. Miller has a decent release and overall showed himself to be a solid average defensive player and thrower. It is possible that he could sign late with a D1 that may unexpectedly lose someone in the draft. He is a good player for small-medium D1 programs, otherwise he should head to a JC to continue to develolp that bat.
