Carlos Pertuz is a 2005 left handed pitcher from Miami Florida with a medium build at 6 ft. 0 190 pounds. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a high leg kick and a balanced delivery. His fastball topped out at 86 mph, and showed good armside run. He spots the fastball well, and it showed a late sinking action at times. He gets good depth on his 2-7 curveball, with a hard, late bite at 70 mph. He has a good feel for his change at 74-75 mph that showed lots of life. He has good command of all 3 pitches and he mixes speed well. He is very poised on the mound, and he knows how to pitch. He is very crafty lefty that will have good success at the next level.
