Joshua Acosta is a 2019 2B/SS with a 5-5 155 lb. frame from Celina, TX who attends Prosper HS. Younger look and frame with plenty of time for additional physical development. Primary shortstop with very quick hands. Developing arm strength from the position but good feel for the position. Righthanded hitter with a spread, even stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and a toe tap trigger into contact. Rotational lower half usage with a line drive path and swing plant. Middle of the field approach and advanced feel for the barrel of the bat. Swing flashes looseness in his hands and gets extended through the point of contact at times. High contact-oriented approach. Repeats the swing well with the ability to drive the ball well to all fields. Will continue to improve as he adds strength to the frame. Great student.
