Quintin Dionne is a 2021 RHP/C/UT with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Buda, TX who attends Jack C Hays HS. Large frame with broad shoulders and long limbs. Ran a 7.65 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery to start. Long takeaway in the back with whip to arm action into a three-quarters slot. Extended finish down the mound with drive from the lower half. Fastball shows arm side run as well as occasional sinking action topping out at 77 miles per hour. Changes slot on curveball creating a slurvy shape and able to add and subtract on the pitch. Worked out defensively as a secondary catcher. Some explosiveness in the lower half coming out. Simple actions and repeats mechanics. Has some carry from a lower arm slot topping out at 73 miles per hour and popping a 2.04 during workouts. Also worked out from the infield. Quick first step with smooth glove work and soft hands out front. High effort release through a clean exchange topping out at 76 miles per hour. Switch hitter with an open stance to start. Utilizes a hanging load for timing. Long line drive swing path working mostly to middle of the field.
