Nolan Gagnon is a 2020 LHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Guthrie, OK who attends Guthrie HS. Big and strong wide shouldered build. Slow paced smooth delivery, gets to his balance point and on line with the plate well, long and loose 3/4's arm action, repeats his mechanics well and is poised on the mound. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, works his fastball to both sides of the plate with intent, mostly straight. Slow curveball has a big sweeping break, showed some feel for his change up. Has an idea how to pitch and change speeds and locations. Had solid athletic actions at first base defensively with loose, soft hands and fundamentally sound footwork. Left handed hitter, hits from a closed stance with a long and extended swing, flashed some pop to the gaps when he got the barrel into the zone on time. Good student.
