Logan Wood is a 2020 LHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Macomb, MI who attends Orchard Lake St. Marys Prep. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projects well with plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, simple side step into delivery and does a nice job of getting tall on backside with a high leg lift up past belt and hip turn at top. Some moving parts to delivery creates deception, lands closed at release and creates angle from a full and tight arm actions with a three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with occasional cut, gets over front side and generates extension while showing command to either side of plate with intent. Curveball shows sharp bite and break with 1-7 shape, tight rotation up to 74 mph and landed for strikes consistently; flashed late life to changeup down in the zone at 74 mph. Nice three-pitch mix with command and will continue to develop and project with additional physical strength. Similar loose and quick arm action from the outfield, plays the hops well, shows athleticism to actions along with fluidity, shows on line carry to intended base on throws. Named to 14U National Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
