Anthony Donofrio is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Massapequa, NY who attends St. Anthony's. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Has quick-twitch muscle, ran a 4.87 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front and shows solid tempo and overall athleticism to mechanics, works through the ball well, whip to arm action and release with nice carry and strength out of his hand. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, loose and clean arm action working to a high three-quarters release. Drives off backside well down the mound, fastball topped out at 86 mph, mostly true in life but filled the zone. Tight spin and solid bite on curveball up to 71 mph, consistent pitch for strikes. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and balanced mechanics throughout. Shows rhythm to swing and does a nice job of getting closed with front side at contact; short stroke through the zone with loose and easy swing. Repeats mechanics, linear plane through the zone with a middle of the field approach, ball jumps when squared. Two-way potential. Named to Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List. Good student.
