Brayden Haug is a 2020 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Chesterfield, MO who attends Westminster Christian Academy. Athletic frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Primary shortstop with clean, smooth footwork while working to and through the baseball. Fluid glove actions while funneling and worked through exchange well. Flashed solid range to each side while moving to the baseball. Flashed the ability to released from multiple arm slot with accuracy topping at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and medium leg lift trigger. Loose, extended hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed bat speed through the zone when maintaining balance and on time. Primarily looked to drive the ball to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Also pitched showing a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Flashed came out of hand cleanly sitting in the mid 80's, topped at 86 miles per hour. Breaking ball flashed occasional spin showing 10/5 shape in the upper 60's. Displayed best depth when staying on top of offering and maintaining arm speed. Also flashed a quality changeup with life in the upper 70's. Displays solid projection on the mound.
