Rece Ritchey is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Huntingdon, PA who attends Huntingdon Area. Tall and lanky build, extremely projectable build. Multi-part funky delivery creates tons of deception, drop and drive to the plate with good hip use but length enables him to get downhill, some crossfire at release to create more angle, extended 3/4s arm slot, arm can be late at times causing him to miss up arm side. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, plenty of life, hitters didn't see the fastball well. Slurve type breaking ball, hitters saw it even worse, lots of swing and miss on both pitches. Going to throw harder with physical maturity and already has very difficult raw stuff to square up. Very interesting left handed pitching prospect. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Virginia.
