Ellis Taylor is a 2021 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Buda, TX who attends Jack C Hays. Nice athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Long and loose arm action on the mound from an over the top arm slot, stays on line well to the plate, but tends to fall off to the first base side with energy at release, well leave his arm behind at times with the energy in his delivery and front side. Upper 70's fastball has good downhill angle to it. Curveball flashed tight spin and some 11/5 shape, arm tends to be late on this pitch more often than his fastball. Showed a nice change up during his last inning with some fading action. Live young arm that will continue to improve with mechanical adjustments, competed hard during his outing. Showed good arm strength and arm action from the outfield with on line accurate throws. Right handed hitter, timing intensive swing with a big hanging leg lift load, has some strength in his swing and can flash pop when he's on time.
