Auston Brewer is a 2021 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Fort Wayne, IN who attends R Nelson Snider. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to grow. Runs well, posted a 6.63 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short and quick steps moving towards the ball, quick transfer into a longer arm stroke, works on top of the ball well, strides open with lower half, shows quickness to arm with carry out of hand. Young actions in the infield, extended slot on throws with carry across, extra step through the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, loads hands back at start of swing. Upper body dominant swing, some whip to hands with a full path through the zone, shows quickness throughout. Moving parts to swing, best contact when on plane, shows some jump coming off and projects with refined timing. Good student.
