Brayden Eftink is a 2020 C/RHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Cape Girardeau, MO who attends Notre Dame Regional. Athletic frame with present strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary catcher with a low, balanced stance while receiving the baseball. Gain ground while working out of crouch with sound footwork. Clean glove circle at exchange and released from a compact three-quarters slot. Throws generated accurate carry to the bag topping at 81 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.00. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing clean, smooth paced footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels off to side and worked through exchange efficiently. Maintained momentum towards target while releasing from a three-quarters slot, topped at 86 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance and medium leg lift trigger. Moves into contact well with linear lower half actions. Direct hand path to baseball with a slightly leveraged barrel plane through extension. Threw bat head with authority and generated loud contact when squared. Primarily looked to drive the baseball to the middle of the field an pull side gap. Also pitched working exclusively from the stretch. High leg raise and stays flexed on back side at gather. Worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Loose, extended arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball generated some heavy actions through the zone in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 88 miles per hour. Slider generated shorter sweep to glove side in the upper 70's. Also flashed a changeup offering in the mid 70's. Excellent student. Named to the 2019 National Indoor Showcase, Top Prospect List.
