Dakota Blevens is a 2017 RHP/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Spring Hill, FL who attends Frank W. Springstead HS. Has a large frame and strong body, present strength throughout. Posted a 7.07 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, stays fundamental with his actions, easy arm action on throws with arm strength up to 76 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a lower hand set and weight shifted back on rear leg. Loads with small lower half that activates full swing, has good hand speed and stays on a level plane with the barrel, showed good pop off the bat to pull side. From the mound, easy pace to delivery with medium leg lift up to belt. Throws from a three-quarter arm slot with short arm action through the back. Fastball showed life toward arm side, curveball had good break and worked well down in the zone, projects for more velocity. Good student.
