Jacob Kroeger is a 2019 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Palmyra, MO who attends Palmyra HS. Nice young pitcher's build, projects well physically. Big side step delivery, compact arm action in back that hides the ball well, some energy on release, tends to land closed out front and throw across his body. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, velo plays up due to deception in hiding the ball from the hitters, mostly straight with occasional cutting action, misses down in the zone. Creates tight spin on his curveball with a shorter, hard break, still developing strike zone feel but pitch has potential. Rare change up. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with good balance and direction, calm and repeatable approach, shows present bat speed and the ability to handle the barrel, has hitting tools to develop. 7.28 runner, showed his arm strength and potential very well from the outfield, athletic actions with a clean release. Very good student.
