Jake Aldape is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-8 158 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock-Cooper High School. Younger build with a lean, athletic frame and room to continue to develop physically. Posted a 7.51 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, showed developing arm strength, waits back for the ball with a tall finish. At the plate, medium stance, high hand set, high back elbow, and simple stride to the ball. Completes weight shift into swing, short, compact swing, inside hand path to ball. Should look to get extended more, presently working with a pull side approach. Consistency in contact will improve with additional lower half in swing. Outstanding student.
