Brentin Pallister is a 2018 2B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Wapello, IA who attends Wapello HS. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.88 sixty yard dash. Primary second baseman with smooth, athletic feet while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front with clean glove actions. Generates good momentum to the bag while working through transition. Long arm circle back at separation and releases from an extended three-quarters slot. Topped at 68 mph creating softer carry across the infield with good accuracy to the bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, straight stance. Lower half shows rotational actions to contact with occasional shift. Loose, extended hand path to contact that generated a line drive plane through extension. Consistently turned the barrel to baseball producing line drive, ground ball contact to the pull side gap. Does shows the barrel control to work between the outfield gaps when letting the baseball travel to a deeper position in the hitting zone. Tools well continue to develop with physical maturity.
