Tyler Ruetschle is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Durango, CO who attends Durango High School. Large build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Primary right handed pitcher, showed good tempo to his delivery, limited lower half drive, short arm circle through the back, and threw from a high three quarter delivery. Gates hip at times and throws with a crossfire element. Fastball showed mostly true life with a varying release point at 75-79/80 mph. Created occasional plane and angle with the pitch coming through the ball well. Also used a slider at 72 mph with sweeping action and showed ability to manipulate the shape of the pitch. Will continue to improve on the mound with additional lower half drive to the plate.
