Ray Horton is a 2019 OF/MIF/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Blue Springs, MO who attends Blue Springs HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.44 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, athletic actions while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions while working through baseball with developing fluidity. Smooth paced, efficient exchanges into a three-quarters arm slot. Topped at 75 mph to the bag generating uphill carry with accuracy. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and toe tap trigger. Lower half shows linear actions that produced some shift into contact. Compact hand path to baseball producing a line drive plane through extension. Stays balanced throughout while swinging with intent to drive the baseball. Primarily showed a mid-field approach with the strength and bat speed to split the outfield gaps at times. Consistently squared up baseball throughout batting practice and generating rising line drives to the middle of the field when on time and squared. Good student as well.
