John Heltebran is a 2019 OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Riverside High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to develop moving forward. Primary outfielder, moves well on feet and shows smoothness to hands out front, quick transfer into a shorter arm action and works on top, quick transfer from a higher slot and shows accuracy on throws, ball comes out cleanly and projects with additional refinement to footwork. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Has timing points at start of swing but found the barrel consistently while getting extended out front at the point of contact. Creates separation in swing and shows strength to hands, gets to front side early but can unlock additional pop by keeping weight back. Very good student.
