Tyler Byrd is a 2019 3B/RHP/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Enterprise, AL who attends Enterprise HS. Medium athletic build, plenty of room go get stronger. Right handed hitter, late draw back hand load with a good shift into contact, loose swing with good extension through contact, has a good line drive swing plane and is on time consistently, squares the ball up with a middle of the field approach, will occasionally pull his head off the ball, sound overall mechanics to grow with as he gets stronger. 7.20 runner, has quick feet in the infield and has footwork moving laterally, works through the ball and reads hops well with soft hands and good anticipation, playable raw arm strength. Also pitched, long and loose arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot, creates good plane to the plate, stays on line well. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, curveball showed some tightness and bite. Fundamentally sound player who should improve with strength. Good student.
