Eli Copenhaver is a 2021 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Spain Park. Medium frame with plenty of room to fill throughout. Only pitched at the event, lefthanded pitcher, starts his delivery with a big rocker step up to a leg lift trigger at his belt line, takes his arm back to a long arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, upper half rotates on rubber, deceptive delivery with a three pitch mix. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with lots of armside run away from righthanded hitters, mixed in a really sharp slider that is a weapon for him, does a really good job at pitching to the bottom of the zone with life, tough to pick up the baseball out of his hand with the deception he creates. Good student.
