Andrew Carlson is a 2017 3B/1B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Arapahoe HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and present strength. Right handed hitter with spread, straight stance. Showed a extended, loose swing plane with good extension through contact. Primarily generates bat speed from top half actions to contact. Controls barrel well throughout the zone allowing for all fields contact. Worked out defensively from the infield showing compact actions through transition. Deliberate, clean exchanges with and smooth arm action. Ball comes out of hand cleanly with some on line carry. Good student as well.
