Wesley Buckner is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Lakeside, CA who attends El Capitan HS. Large frame with lean, athletic build; good projection remaining overall. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.26 seconds. Primary pitcher, pauses at top of balance point and gathers himself, short arm stroke through the back, high 3/4 arm slot, gets on top well. Online through delivery, generates plane to the plate, fastball worked 72-75 MPH. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and solid spin, also flashed changeup in low 60's with good arm speed replication and fade. Lots of strikes with all pitches and good tempo. Sets up to hit from with upright, even stance and high hands, lofted path with leverage, showed solid jump off the barrel when squared up. Worked out in the outfield, moved well to the ball, fields cleanly and gets off clean release uphill with solid arm strength up to 76 MPH.
