Jake Hammons is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Rock Canyon HS. Strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, open stance, looks to pull the ball and is around it at times, big stride into contact, showed raw bat speed and the ball comes off the barrel well, has hitting tools to develop. 7.50 runner, plays light on his feet in the middle infield, good footwork and athleticism at the ball, charges well, can throw from multiple arm slots, has some arm strength but concentrates on getting rid of the ball quickly. Good player who lacks loud tools but has athleticism and instincts. Good student.
