Thomas Vickers is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Smiths, AL who attends Phenix City Central. Medium frame with some strength to build and square shoulders. Ran a 7.50 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher. Short side step delivery with a medium leg lift to the belt. Quick tempo to delivery. Lands slightly closed off creating some crossfire when coming to the plate. Over the top slot while generating some body tilt. Medium arm circle in the back with some stiffness to action. Fastball has occasional downhill plane from arm angle sitting in the upper 70's and topping at 79 miles per hour. Changeup with a similar delivery as fastball with sinking actions in the bottom parts of the zone. Looser spinning curveball as the third option. Mixes well and throws off speed in any count. Also worked out from the outfield. Athletic movements to the ball. Accurate throws with average carry to the infield topping out at 79 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a lower hand set. Slight downhill path to contact. Simple and easy mechanics. Generates some line drives off the bat with feel for the barrel. Middle of the field approach. Excellent student as well.
