Nick Montanari is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Wexford, PA who attends Pine-Richland. Compact frame, young athletic build with room to add muscle and get stronger. Right handed hitter, low hands set at the letters with medium-wide base. Easy, measured shift into contact, at times can be a bit late getting started. Solid hands, line-drive swing plane geared to contact, can be a bit rotational with the upper-half but shows some feel for the barrel. Moves well to the ball in the infield, shows some lateral quickness. Solid actions and hands, can get a bit underneath the ball and throws sail occasionally, profiles well at second base. Very good student.
