Aidan Goicovich is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Gilroy, CA who attends Archbishop Mitty. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs, has present strength and room for more. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step at start of delivery into leg lift just above the belt, incorporates lower half into delivery well with good drive towards the plate. Long and fluid arm action through the back with looseness coming to a high three-quarter release point. Low effort release on fastball, topped out at 83 mph with some jump out of hand. Showed ability to get to both sides of plate, occasionally gets under ball at release. Still developing consistent feel for curveball but showed 11-5 shape at 67 mph with late break and solid depth when on top. Also showed a strong arm at first base, moves well off the bag, similar loose arm action, stays low and fields out front. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and high back elbow with good rhythm in swing. Stays short to the ball and creates leverage contact with extension out front. Shifts well into contact and showed a consistent feel for hitting to pull side, whips the barrel through the zone. Very good student.
