Ramon Cruz is a 2017 SS with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Notre Dame HS. Solid athletic build with some present strength, long arms for his size. 7.07 runner, showed good range up the middle and has athletic balance in the infield, tends to hang back on balls hit at him but attacks the ball well on the move, good hands at the ball with a good exchange, makes accurate throws with some carry. Right handed hitter, leg raise trigger with a high hand load, long swing with some lift out front, flashed some bat speed and hand quickness, can shorten for more consistent hard contact. Good student.
