Ricardo Rodriguez is a 2017 C/ with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Trujillo Alto, PR who attends Cupeyville HS. Has a medium frame, lean build, and room to continue to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.83 second sixty yard dash. From behind the plate, showed solid actions and catch and release skills, arm strength was up to 70 mph while popping as low as 2.18 seconds. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an open stance. Has a good hand path to the baseball and lets his lower half work to the point of contact. More loud contact to come as he continues to develop strength throughout build. Good student.
