Josh Daniel is a 2006 C/3B from Glascock County High School in Gibson, Georgia, with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame. Behind the plate Daniel has quick transfers on his throws that helped produce pop times below 2.00. He has solid throws down to second base with good accuracy. Daniel also does a good job of blocking balls in the dirt with good foot quickness and centers the ball on his chest well. At the plate he is a switch hitter with good bat speed from both sides, but performed a little better from the left side. Left handed he has a line drive swing plane and looks more comfortable. From the right side he uses a toe tap trigger and tries to hit the ball on the ground. Daniel tracks the off-speed pitches better from the left side. He is also a good student.
