Ethan Bowdoin is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Chattahoochee HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins delivery with leg lift up to belt, works with a full arm action through the back working to a higher three-quarters release point. Creates angle at release and shows able to generate plane to fastball, topped out at 87 mph and shows quickness to arm. Deliberate tempo at start of delivery, shows ability to get fastball to either side of plate and can miss bats. Slows arm action prior to release on curveball at 68 mph, shows a feel with 1-7 shape and will throw it often. Moves to the ball with long strides in the outfield, fields the ball out front and shows a full arm action, works through the ball, shows arm strength on throws. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an upright stance and utilizes a higher leg lift trigger for timing. Works with a contact approach at the plate and can hit to all fields with line drive contact, upper body dominant swing, projects with additional strength. Good student.
