Bennett Lee is a 2020 C/2B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit HS. Medium, athletic frame, square shoulders with present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary catcher, shows flexibly to compact set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front and shows a quick transfer and release on throws, strides on line with lower half and works on top of the ball well, remains compact throughout release, accuracy down to second base with carry on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Limited shift through lower half, shows a full and loose swing through the zone with a high finish through point of contact. Creates backspin with extension out front, shows strength off the barrel and has tools to continue to improve upon. Outstanding student.
