Jose Zamora is a 2018 RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Hialeah Gardens, FL who attends American HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, lean frame that projects with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, simple delivery on the mound and shows nice glove side mechanics, lands slightly closed with strike foot but creates extension out front and finishes through the ball. Full arm circle through the back working to a three-quarters arm action, mostly true fastball that topped out at 79 mph but lived down in the zone with occasional sinking life. Quick to the plate out of the stretch, shows control to the outer half and able to induce ground ball contact. Pitches to contact, maintains arm speed well on changeup, up to 69 mph with the pitch and showed short fading life, replicates arm action well. Good student.
