Trevor Tolley is a 2017 C/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Melbourne, FL who attends Melbourne Senior. Medium-large frame, strong-bodied with broad shoulders, athletic sturdy build. Primary catcher, looks the part behind the plate. Solid fundamentals in throwing mechanics, quick feet with good direction, also has good transfer and exchange, popped as low as 2.09 seconds in defensive drills. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance with high back elbow. Deep hand load, longer path to the ball, shows solid bat speed and strength in frame. Pull approach, can impact the baseball when using the barrel, also flashes ability to sting line drives up the middle. Good swing plane, shows power potential, should continue to improve with more consistent hand path. Good student.
