Andrew Bennett is a 2020 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Mt Paran Christian. Tall angular build with lots of lean strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall and narrow stance with a lean and lift power approach, has present bat speed while remaining pretty short to contact, creates leverage at contact and swings hard, has repeatable timing, gap to gap power with plenty more to come. 7.47 runner, has nice footwork at first base defensively, agile athlete who can spin and make strong and accurate throws. Also plays the outfield and has classic right field tools, outstanding arm strength with on line carry. Uses his speed well on the bases and is a heads up runner who will take the extra base. Also pitched, low effort delivery with a 3/4's arm slot, bit cross body with his release. Fastball topped out at 86 mph with good arm side run, throws strikes with his fastball. Flashed a change up in warmups and didn't attempt a breaking ball. High ceiling talent if the power continues to come. Good student, verbal commitment to Samford. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
