Carson Sewell is a 2023 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Carrollton, GA who attends Carrollton. Medium frame with square shoulders and plenty of room to continue to fill out physically. Ran an 8.35 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a short side step up to a high leg lift, takes his arm back to a full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, strides down the mound online to the plate, could improve arm strength with additional involvement to his lower half driving off of the rubber, young arm speed currently, will continue to improve with added strength. Fastball is mostly straight and topped out at 69 mph, worked the pitch to both sides of the plate during his outing, mixed in a curveball with 12-to-6 shape. Secondary first baseman, sits back on the baseball with low effort actions and a clean exchange from glove to hand, young footwork around the bag with developing arm strength coming from a loose arm action. Lefthanded hitter, sets up with an open stance and a low hand set, utilizes a leg lift trigger into contact, takes a downhill swing plane to the baseball with rotational actions, best contact came to the middle of the field.
